Easy swaps to make your wedding more sustainable...
Did you know that the average wedding will create one third of a tonne of waste?! That is the equivalent of a Blue Whale of rubbish!! Making some simple swaps can make a difference to not only the waste created on your big day, but can reduce the carbon emissions too. Simple swaps you can make:
- Look at travel options for your guests that reduce the amount of cars being used. Could a coach be organised for example?
- Consider plastic free suppliers for your wedding - look for caterers which are plastic free in particular as well as your sustainable wedding bouquet!
- Request a gift to charity or offer to plant a tree for the guests as wedding favours - this is a great way to balance out the carbon and waste.
